SANJIESAN LICENSING / Format adaptation

One selected visual, three layouts: make the adaptation reviewable

A partner may need a square listing image, a portrait insert and a landscape presentation panel. Start with one selected source visual and treat each output as a separate layout proposal. The exercise helps coordinate adaptation; it does not decide whether any particular crop or alteration is permitted for the project.

Keep a source reference outside the layouts

Give the selected visual its existing identifier and revision, and show an unchanged reference thumbnail beside the three blank layout outlines. Put the approved character name in a separate text field. If the source does not provide enough space for one format, identify that constraint now. Do not stretch a character or invent missing costume details simply to make all three rectangles look filled.

Make each crop decision visible

Prepare a small sheet showing the source boundary and proposed visible area for each format. Mark any character feature, emblem or text that would be lost. Keep names and other fixed copy linked to the approved wording sheet. Ask the appropriate reviewer to answer the specific crop question, rather than send three polished images with no explanation of what changed between them.

Release only the outputs that were actually checked

List the accepted output filenames beside the reviewed format and revision. A decision on the square version should not silently close the portrait question. Ask the recipient to compare each delivered file with its own reference render. If the source visual changes later, review all linked formats for the actual effect of that change rather than assuming that every output remains current.
