SANJIESAN LICENSING / Packaging review
A packaging panel needs a life-size proof
A panel that looks comfortable on a large monitor can feel crowded on the intended object. Prepare one measured paper specimen before discussing more decoration. The exercise makes the layout easier to review; the supplier and relevant specialists still need to confirm the actual production and mandatory-information requirements.
Put a measurement beside the proposed panel
Use the current supplier template and keep its units visible. Print a disposable copy with a reference line you can measure using a ruler. Check that line before judging the artwork, because a page-fitting option may have changed the print size. Label the specimen with the template revision and the artwork revision. If either dimension is still a guess, show that uncertainty directly on the review sheet.
Read the panel in the order a customer would
Place the paper panel on a plain stand-in at the intended position. Ask a reviewer to identify the character name, product description and next useful instruction without enlarging the page. Record where they pause or confuse two labels. Keep promotional copy separate from the project’s required information list, so a layout preference does not silently remove a field that another reviewer is responsible for checking.
Revise one hierarchy problem and repeat
Make a second paper specimen that changes one issue, such as the relative emphasis of the collection title and product name. Keep the physical size unchanged. Compare both specimens and preserve the chosen revision with the review notes. This is more informative than shrinking every line until the panel fits. Return unresolved production, language or compliance questions to the people assigned to answer them before release.
