SANJIESAN LICENSING / Range development

A small collaboration range needs different roles for its objects

A range proposal can grow quickly when every ordinary object becomes another possible surface for the same picture. Keep the first group small and give each object a reason to belong. The exercise is about a proposed assortment; it does not establish supplier availability, prices or a commitment to manufacture the group.

Choose roles before choosing more formats

Describe three possible roles in plain language: one object that introduces the idea, one used in an ordinary routine and one that adds a distinct detail. These are workshop roles, not a required commercial formula. Start with the customer occasion already chosen by the team. If two proposed items do the same job with no meaningful difference, keep the stronger candidate for discussion rather than expanding automatically.

Compare the objects together and separately

Place simple concept views at a consistent presentation scale and write each object’s role beneath it. Then hide the neighbouring objects and inspect whether each remains understandable. A companion item may share a visual detail without requiring the buyer to obtain the entire range. Keep the proposed included contents clear so a group image is not mistaken for a single available bundle or an announced collection.

Develop the strongest relationship first

Choose the connection that makes the group more useful or interesting, such as a shared reading occasion or a complementary display arrangement. Record which proposed item still lacks a clear purpose and leave it outside the next development stage. A smaller range with distinct jobs gives partners more concrete questions to discuss than a large page of repeated artwork on unrelated objects.
