SANJIESAN LICENSING / Motion presentation

A moving brand preview also needs a useful still state

A rotating concept or animated visual can introduce a collaboration idea, while nearby text carries the practical explanation. W3C’s WCAG 2.2 pause-stop-hide guidance addresses automatically started motion lasting more than five seconds beside other content, with an essential-activity exception. Plan the viewing control and still presentation together. This is one accessibility consideration, not a claim of complete WCAG conformance.

Choose what the still view must retain

Identify the main visual relationship the preview is meant to explain. Select a still view that shows it clearly and keep the necessary status and wording outside the motion where appropriate. A reader should not have to wait for a particular frame to learn that an object is only proposed. Keep any depicted identity and product concept accurate in both the moving and still versions.

Make the control an actual task

Ask a reviewer to pause or stop the preview and continue reading the adjacent explanation. Confirm that the control does not trap the person in the preview or require continuous focus just to keep motion still. Keep its wording understandable and its state visible. Include the intended keyboard path in the review rather than judging usability solely from a pointer demonstration of the play icon.

Review the quiet version as a complete page

Read the page with the motion stopped and inspect whether the idea, relevant links and next action still make sense. Keep decorative movement from becoming the only route to essential information. Have the actual implementation assessed against the applicable requirements, including any other motion or media concerns. The resulting preview can remain expressive while giving the reader practical control over when to watch it.
