SANJIESAN LICENSING / BUYING GUIDE

A turntable video and an interactive preview need different briefs

A proposed display object may be introduced through a short rotation video or a viewer that lets someone control the angle. The shared three-dimensional appearance can hide very different work. Begin with the question the audience needs to answer. This comparison concerns presentation services; it does not establish a production model, a tested physical object or a ready-made interactive system.

Describe what the viewer must control

List only the controls that support the actual question: pause on a detail, choose a view or compare a specified variant. A fixed sequence may be enough when the task is simply to introduce the overall outline. Where free control is important, name the intended interaction rather than asking for “something interactive”. Keep variant labels and character references accurate so a visual choice does not create a new identity.

Ask where the result will actually run

A video proposal should specify the delivered sequence and intended display format. An interactive proposal should explain the viewer, required files and deployment environment, including who will maintain it. Ask for a representative working demonstration using suitable material, not just a recording of a different system. Loading, keyboard access and reduced-motion needs can be included as concrete review tasks rather than promises inferred from a polished render.

Choose useful control over extra spectacle

Choose the fixed sequence when it answers the viewer’s question clearly and is easier for the team to publish. Choose interactive work when the required control justifies the additional delivery and upkeep tasks. Keep any physical specifications outside the visual demonstration until they have a genuine source. A proposal is complete when it names what will be delivered and how the intended audience will use it, not merely when the preview looks impressive.
